A local’s input on the dispensary near the McDonald’s

Last Friday I told you about the dispensary that was forced to close because it was too close to a McDonald’s Play Place… but not as close as a cocktail lounge called “Animal Crackers”.  Today I received an email from a listener who lives near the area and has some very eye-opening comments:

first off love the show. i live less than 5 min’s walking distance from that dispensary and it took me forever to find it. that particular co-op was one of the most well hidden shops i know of, no signs, no adds in weekly papers, no green crosses, nothing. Animal Crackers, named for the Marx Bro’s. film not the snack, let me in their doors and [served] me when i was only 20, never asking for an id. between that bar and mc donalds is a smoke shop where they sell tobacco, porno, pipes, swords and knives, etc., also to underage kids. its a joke. well that’s it. looking forward to Nov. 2010. i meet you at the smokeout a few months back and you couldn’t have been nicer.
