I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

:-D Thats great Russ. a qp per plant is plenty even if they only allow six plants here in Illinois. I think growing legally is an opening to more productive grows. Also maybe open up a dialoge between local growers. Peace and Love 8-)

Four to six ounces per indoor plant,is this guy fucking high. I ve been growing danky doodle, ice, and superskunk and I have never gotten more than an ounce and a half. I also know several growers who grow hydro and they might get two ounces per plant. I have been growing for three years, but I live in Illinois so its illegal, maybe if the plants were in my backyard I could get fpir to six per plant.

The latest I have read locally is the Illinois House is missing 1 vote. If you live in Illinois, Write your state representative.

The thing I notice about these letters to the editors in these papers is that the comments left on the web site always are telling the truth and saying no this letter to the editor is wrong. Yet we dont see a new letter to the editor the next day with the truth and how legalizing would be better. So is it just the papers wanting to put out the reefer madness or do they just dont have anyone willing to write to the editor in favor of the bill? I wonder since 90% or more of the comments were in favor of legalized marijuana why then wouldnt they have the other view too!

this is the Illinois debt clock!! How far in debt is IL?? Well the local county I live in has already cut ALL SPORTS AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND FIRED 3 TEACHERS for 2011 b/c the state cant pay the county the money it needs. In addition to this the state has a bill that would now allow schools to have a 4 day week!!!

If only there where a new way for the state to generate state money? Maybe there is a product/medicine that could SPARK the economy and give life to NEW BUSINESS here in Illinois. :greenmj:

Thanks for reporting on this Russ!! As we get closer here in Illinois the MADNESS is at an all time high. (no pun intended) The crazy “joint math” that has been seen here then re-used in other MADNESS articles around the state.

This bill has until 5/7/10 (which is less the 30 work days for the House) to get called to the floor of the House floor for a vote. The bill is currently waiting everyday to be called. It is gaining ground but we still need people to call their Representative in the House and ask for support.
