You ever hear of car jackings? Nothing wrong with carrying protection IMO, especially when you have your child in the car. Now smoking a blunt with your kid in the car, that’s stupid.

THIRD ” Constance Payne told officers Chatman had been smoking a cigar BUT WHAT PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE WAS A LOADED NOT EMPTY HAND GUN WAS FOUND IN THE CAR WHY WERE THE BULLETS NOT IN THE TRUNK AS THE HAND GUN LAWS DICTATE THE GUN ON SAFETY AND WHY DID THE CAR NEED TO BE SEARCHED TO FIND THE LOADED GUN?? IF HE HAD HAD PROPER TRAINING HE WOUND HAVE SURRENDERED THE GUN WILLINGLY THE BOTTOM LINE NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW NOT YOU NOT ME NOT EVEN THE ACTORS ON TV…… J.M.O.

Maybe the Arby’s employee wasn’t calling the cops just because they were smoking weed, but because they were doing it with a one year old baby in the back seat.

Yea….I work at an arbys, and work every area and have many times had people come in or though drive-thru, smelling like alchohol and pot, but have never once called authorities. I used to smoke it myself, before i became a manager. Don’t be pissy just because one guy is a dick

My only complaint about Arby’s closing on Sundays for Christianity is that they aren’t co-owned by Orthodox Jews and Seventh-Day Adventists, so they could be closed from sundown Friday through Sunday night.

First of all, there was no evidence they were smoking in the car. A bag of weed was found on people who smelled like weed.

Second, there was no evidence they were impaired while driving.

Third, you don’t know whether the loaded handgun was found in a locked glove compartment. I’d assume the child was strapped into a child safety seat in the back and wouldn’t have easy access to the gun.

You’re falling victim to the reefer madness that says if a person has a puff on a joint, they are destined for a car wreck. Yet you’ll readily accept the idea that someone blowing .01-.07 on a breathalyzer may be just fine to drive. You’ll readily accept fast-food restaurants acting as guardians of safety at the same time you’re driving by bars with parking lots.

Numerous studies have shown marijuana using drivers to be far safer than their alcohol-using counterparts. One such study found people highly impaired by THC to drive at about the same impairment as a .05 drunk. Stoned drivers tend to compensate for their impairment by driving slower as well. Various prescription drugs say “Until you know how you’ll react to Fuqitol, don’t drive or operate heavy machinery” which suggests to me that once you’re used to Fuqitol, drive all you like.

I’m not suggesting that one pull a five-foot bong rip and then go out on the highways. I am suggesting that the fear of stoned drivers is way overblown compared to the threat of drinking, texting, putting on makeup, shaving, cell phoning, kid watching, fast-food eating, cigarette smoking, road raging, napping, and prescription or OTC drugged drivers.

For real? So if they had crashed and their child died, or if they were high and fell asleep, their child found the loaded gun and killed hisself…your argument would be???
Or if they’d been high and chill…laid back in their home and the child got out of the house and into the street….
I hope none of you who think the couple was shafted have kids. If they want to smoke they should do it when they don’t have their child in the safety of their home – hmmm- and not driving around. If they were to have run over your child would you really have said, “That’s okay my chill, laid back cannabis brother/ sister. I feel you that was some good stuff.” I highly doubt it…idiotic

Also, if Arby’s were closed – chainwide- on Sunday’s for Christianity…I quote you, “Aren’t we a people of free religion?” Thanks for the chuckles. And I’ve gotten Arby’s on a Sunday.

I don’t know that boycotting Arby’s is called for, but I bet that particular one will see a drop in late night business.

Is it fair to punish other Arby’s stores for the actions of one asshole manager? I guess I could just go to my local Arby’s and ask them if they would call the cops on me if I smelled of marijuana.
