SPOKANE, Wash. — Authorities are raiding several medical marijuana dispensaries in Spokane in what Assistant US Attorney Tom Rice is describing as “Official Law Enforcement Action.”
Rice confirmed a raid was taking place at the THC Pharmacy in the South Perry District on the South Hill. Club Compassion, located at 1004 E. Bridgeport, is also being raided by police.
Rice would not comment on the nature of the “enforcement action” except to stay that is illegal to possess or sell marijuana in the United States.
There are other locations being raided by authorities, but Rice would not confirm how many and where those locations are.
We called out to Kevin Oliver of Washington NORML. The timing couldn’t be better, because Steph Sherer, Executive Director of Americans for Safe Access, was there in the Spokane Area with the Cannabis Defense Coalition to conduct raid training for activists. Kevin said when they got the news, “Steph stood up in front of the audience and said, ‘This is not a drill; this is exactly what we are talking about.’”
Kevin and Steph and all the activists jumped into their cars and drove to the raids. We spoke to Kevin as he arrived at THC Pharmacy and he said he could see no violence or arrests. He asked a SWAT officer on scene what was happening and on the air the officer said that the US Attorney would have more information for us.

A good deal of the proceeds from our business goes to an organization we call MHP Charitable Trust. I wonder what would happen to the local political scene if we put that money into an effort to replace these Quislings.
I manage the wellness concept dispensary on Trent and Sullivan we were raided yesterday as well as our location in loon lake canna loon the Feds said they were raiding 7 dispensaries they took everything and threw my 60 yr old mother to the hardwood floor and cuffed her she was taking a nap and not properly dressed this is a nice older lady who is a stroke survivor not a drug lord all because their home is on the property of the dispensary I also received a mouthful of dirt and was thrown to the ground at the Trent location even though I showed no hostility
They raided everybody in town BUT US. Holy crap!! The news people say that they didnt have the resources to hit us all in one day, so they plan to finish us off tomorrow. THEY DID’NT HAVE THE RESOURCES?!?!?! Damn right they didn’t, that’s what we’ve been saying for DECADES . They’re wasting so goddamn much money they RAN THE F^CK OUT
When they arrive they will find us selling our members candy and soda pop. Some of these members may be in violation of some obscure federal law but rest assured that each and every one will demand a JURY to settle any ridiculus claim these nitwits make against people who believe themselves to be free.
