How does a country song make it onto the “Best of ROctober”? Well, it has to be pretty kick-ass….that’s how! I love this tune from Jon Nicholson. JON NICHOLSON is an amazing self-taught fingerstyle guitarist who calls Spokane, Washington home. Jonathan began playing guitar at 15, and it sounds like the guitar has become an extension of his arms. Today’s music hit, “Grandma’s Gettin’ High” is an insightful ballad that evokes country greats like Willie and Waylon. As the boomers are aging, it is natural that the median age of marijuana smokers is getting older, but I still think about an earlier generation that didn’t have the same opportunities to partake, and I remember that it’s never too late to learn.
