(NBC Today Show) Brad Pitt hasn’t thrown his hat in the ring to be mayor of his adopted hometown, New Orleans. Others have done that for him, launching a grassroots campaign complete with nifty T-shirts touting “Brad Pitt for Mayor.”
But he’s more than willing to serve, the actor told TODAY’s Ann Curry with a self-deprecating laugh.
“If chosen, would you run?” Curry asked in the prerecorded interview that ran Thursday.
“Yeah,” Pitt said.
“Would you serve?”
“Yeah. I’m running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform,” he joked.
Screw mayor of New Orleans, Brad Pitt for President!

I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.
Brad Pitt. You’re my much loved actor since I saw you in “Legend of the Falls” in the theater in 1994. Since Oct. 2007, I’ve convinced that you’re my favorite actor for the rest of my life. I believed you should’ve won an Oscar for playing Tristan in “Legend of the Falls”.
Brad sucks since he went “daddy” with Anglina. She says
not around the children.
No more smoke-a-thons like he had with Jennifer.
He’s “pussy whipped again”… (song by David Alan Coe)

Grow some cojones Brad!
He could win easy with that platform, could be a good thing. Im moving there to get $20 electric bills and vote for regulation. Wonder how much a indoor grow would run in that house?
