i have lived in Breckenridge now for 20 years. Im so proud of our town for the leadership we have taken. Many years ago i lead the effort to make arrest or procecution of small amounts the towns "lowest priority." we then created a medical marijuana program on the state level which is wildly successful. People in Breckenridge and Colorado dont smoke anymore than anyone else on average, but we are becoming aware what a waste of money and reasouces it is to chase after everyone for smoking pot. Drinking is a much bigger problem anyway. Also, i think we have finally reached a point where the majority of people dont believe the self serving lies from all those so-called authorities and ignorant people.

Alcohol leads to other drugs and habitual usage, Mr. Norris, not marijuana. You must be an older man to have grown up believing that old myth started by the government to scare the public about marijuana. Alcohol, not marijauana is the main gateway drug. Alcohol can also lead to many other undesired actions including death. Drunk people start bar fights, not stoned people and nobody has ever overdosed on marijuana.

This is outlandish ! It would appear that the majority of Breckenridge voters must have been smoking something for some time now. It is clear that smoking pot--leads to other drugs and habitual useage. Perhaps there are simply too many old hippies living there. To assume that this will not proliferate drug use and develop systematic dealing in naieve at best.

I call on the DEA to completely prosecute such crimes in Breckenridge, esepcially dealing.
