I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

    - A Flash-free option for DAS webpages would be
also be helpful for those of us who customarily
prefer to read the articles on our computers,
or that only have an older computer, older O.S.

    “Make cannabis UBIQUITOUS”
    is what I say!!!
Lower its price BELOW THAT of oregano…

    - Its only artificial, gov’t-enforced scarcity
that makes cannabis a target for thieves…

    - Meanwhile, until “M.C.U.” is realized,
    it’s wise that all dispensaries
keep their product in a safe,
    like this place does…
    (A fortified-storefront, window-bars would
have completely thwarted break-in entry, though…).

I would suggest that it be mandatory for cannabis dispensaries to lock all their medicine in a bolted down safe or vault after hours. After hour and daytime robbery attempts would totally be eliminated if an armed guard inside the facility were operating a double door set-up like at some banks.

If someone has not seen these double door set-ups let me explain.

An outer bullet proof door opens and lets only one person in.

Then they pass through a metal detector.

Then they pass a small desk they can place any metal items they may have on thier person (like in an airport).

While the outer door is still locked the inner bullet proof door is opened for the patron to enter the facility.

Leaving the facility is just the opposite of entering but it would be without danger to let a few people out at the same time.

If a person was dumb enough to try a robbery once inside (using a plastic knife or something) and makes it by the armed guard while holding a hostage, they would be stuck in the space between the inner and outer door. The reason for this is because the button that opens the doors is inside the bank with the armed guard. If the robber threatens to kill the hostage the space between the inner and outer door could be flooded with a gas that would almost instantaneously knock out the two people in the chamber before they would detect the gas. Would you try to rob a place with a set-up like that? NOT ME!

If this type of set-up were mandatory at all dispensaries any attempts at robbing one of them would be futile act of lunacy. How about prohibitionists suck on that rain parade!

If we just ended prohibition, this wouldn’t have happened. Also police wouldn’t have needed to be dispatched resulting in saved money and time they could’ve spent looking for real criminals.
    :2thumbs:

I’m sorry that happened but it is kinda hilarious how dumb those two appeared.
