I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

The brutal nearly unregulated violence inflicted on the masses from these SWAT style raids has become the norm. This type of response is now what police do out of supposed fear for the public safety. It’s easy to see how dangerous these people were. What if there had been a brick of hash in the baby crib? There is no telling how many patients could have been helped let alone these 2 people.
This is a so called ‘war’ and these people are treated as if they have no rights.
We as activists need to jump on this with both boots. [sic] Our problem is how? Will anything I do here in America help them? I don’t know. Most probably not. But what I do know is Russ and Mr Spof are doing their best to get the REAL story out….the hypocrisy of the WoD
    Thanks Russ

    Very true Russ!

..and what justifies condemning a house due to the presence of a few Cannabis plants when the presence of house plants of any other type is totally ignored?

People have Ficuses, Hoyas, Cordylines, Cycads and god only knows what else in their homes without fire marshals paying the slightest bit of interest. Does the Cannabis genus contain some magical quality that instantly contaminates a house to such a degree that it has to be condemned?
