LOS ANGELES (AP) – A judge has postponed sentencing for a Morro Bay medical marijuana dispensary convicted of 5 federal counts, including distributing the drug.
Charles Lynch was scheduled to be sentenced Thursday, but the judge delayed a decision until June 11 in federal court in Los Angeles.
The decision came after attorneys argued about what kind of prison sentence, if any, the 47-year-old should receive in light of statements made last month by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
More time to build the political action necessary to force the Obama Administration to live up to the spirit of his promise to leave the states alone when it comes to regulating the practice of medicine.

I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.
This is my little protest in SLC for Charles Lynch!
I think it is encouraging that the sentencing was delayed until June 11, but I still called AG Holder’s office and asked that they stop the prosecution of Charles Lynch.
Obama should issue a full pardon.
I think that this is an amazing thing thats happening. If Lynch is let off the hook on these charges, it may mean the stop of persecution towards state legalized medical marijuana.
We will seek it until it prevails…otherwise we will die alongside those that have fought their whole lives without seeing their vision of an America without marijuana prohibition come true. Where they have walked we will follow, with new ideas, revealed truths, more evidence and more confidence in what we know we can attain. God bless the movement.
Eventually Truth and Justice will prevail…won’t they?
Thanks for all the time invested Russ. It means alot to me everytime I turn on the stash and your news clips, interviews, statistics, and everything else just serves to remind me how important it is to continue to fight for the abolition of Cannabis prohibition on my campus as well as my town and my state. Thanks again Rus and keep talking because thats exactly what scares’em most…the TRUTH.
