I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

Honestly, this is some of the best news this year in my opinion. Now our representatives and senators will have legal medical cannabis in their faces and it will be hard to continue lying about it. Those who would have never experienced mmj in their home states will come to DC as representatives and see it.. and possibly do something about it.

murder through negligent care… I believe it is illegal to house inmates if they are not able to be properly cared for isn’t it?

I always said I never wanted to go to DC…now, maybe I’ll give it a shot…well, a puff. :blunt:

This is great news! I guess I will believe it when Fox News runs their headlines “Dope shop opens in Nation’s Capitol”.

Then I will know we are shaking this place up a bit.

I thought so. I feel like we really deserve a public apology on this one. One of the main talking points of Libertarians is to end the war on drugs!!!

Wait, wait…what is that….can it be a LIGHT at what could be the end of a VERY long tunnel? Being of NDN heritage I’ll still opt for cautious optimism but if they try to bury it again with political manuevers we all may have to plan a trip to their doorsteps.

BRING IT !!!Barr Ammendment finally up in smoke

yes Matt it is, R.I.P Jonathan Magbie 2004
who died 4 days into a 10-day jail sentence for possessing marijuana, 27-year-old Maryland man who was paralyzed from the neck down and used a mouth-operated wheelchair. The jail infirmary, where he was housed for several days, wasn’t equipped with the ventilator he needed to breathe at night. His death sparked several government investigations, which exposed major lapses in Magbie’s care at the D.C. jail and Greater Southeast Hospital.

The language of this is acutally MORE liberal than the California Laws!
If they get this right I wonder how many more Pro-Cannabis Activists will be popping up in Washington? It’s going to be harder for government to ignore MMJ in its own backyard!

Oh man thats great. I was wondering a few things:
    1) Bob Barr tried to Ban this?!? Is this the same Bob Barr Libertarian candidate that ran for President last election?!?

2)How are Conservative Republicans going to react if congress or white house officials start using Medical Cannabis?

    3) Does this mean Obama can get a Medical Cannabis Recomendation for the weight loss he’s experienced since being elected?

Great News!!! maybe things are changing…maybe….I remember the 1998 bill, I was so happy, then it was canceled by political trickery…God help us that it’s not the case this time…

  18. Just Legalize It
