Sure, the user with less than an ounce is protected (or maybe fined), but where did he get that ounce? From a grower or a seller who'll be arrested and do time for the transaction. The UN "allowing" anything regarding drugs has a lot to do with the US strong-arming UN members to adopt the US no-tolerance drug policies. American legalization would surely change the UN's stance on drugs. ("Yes, it would, and don't call me Shirley.") Here’s the problem with decrim: you legalize the demand but not the supply. I have a feeling that poor Gil cannot learn any new trix. He may well be another person, same as Antonio Costas, who will outlive any usefulness he may have brought to the table by his CHOICE to remain ignorant to reality, human nature, and the will of the people. My hopes are he will become smarter as time goes by......But for now I'll file that under... 'Aerosmith'...Dream On...Dream On...dream until your dreams come true.......
