Databass
Databass is the pet project of composer Sean Abreu, allowing him to collaborate with a wide variety of San Francisco’s creative minds from poets to jazz and opera musicians. Considering electronics to be a musical orchestra, he delights in using new instruments to create brand new sounds and layers while blending trance, house, and ambient beats.
“Reefer Propaganda” educates with the history of how the the US government made ‘beautiful marijuana’ illegal using propaganda and lies. A house track with some deeply powerful sampling from the annals of American media, it will make you think as well as make your body move. This is fantastic song with a political dance groove and a clear message that the war on marijuana needs to end.
Sean’s Databass can be found on his Garageband page. We were unable to find any further information about either Sean or Databass, so if anyone knows anything, please let us know here at the Stash by emailing stash@norml.org.
