Electric Tuesday: Groove Junkies – “Far Away (TC Moses)”

In The ZoneAs far as I can tell, this song has nothing to do with marijuana.  However, after listening to the trench of a groove laid down by the cats on this track, I’m betting that some marijuana went into the creation of this song, “Far Away” by Groove Junkies.

Groove Junkies debut artist album “In The Zone” is a milestone achievement for venerable Los Angeles by way of NYC Writer / Producer / DJ Evan Landes. The evolution of his artistry is on full display as “Zone” showcases a diverse musical, rhythmic and lyrical palette which isn’t bound by any of today’s passing trends.

The warm, organic nu-soul house approach on “Far Away” feat. TC Moses’ pitch perfect vocal interpretation provides the foundation for an introspective, yet relatable look at life’s trials and tribulations.
