Born in 1997 and raised in Florence, Italy, Matteo Beta has always had a talent for electronic music. Even in high school he was spinning at clubs in Florence and Empoli before joining the Amnesia group of DJs to spin at major clubs in Tuscany.
Not satisfied with just mixing the music of others, Matteo started creating his own and collaborating with other artists such as Bypass FX, joining the Italian independent label and artist collective Labella Recordings. He currently works as an artist, DJ, and producer for Labella Recordings and also holds dance parties all over Italy with Labella Party.
“Alcohol and Marijuana” is a track with minimalistic tech house beats and trippy samples about the disparity between two particular legal and illegal substances — and which one is better. Obviously, the weed wins.
Matteo Beta says he has “one simple goal: let your ass dance to my rhythm.” You can go ahead and do that on his MySpace, the label’s website, or their Soundcloud, and all of his songs can be bought on Beatport and Inndigital via the label’s website.
