I have been told that when a story starts with the words, "I was born...", ya knew you were in trouble, so... here is me. I was born in 1955, in a medium sized city in West Virginia. This is where I lived until I joined the military in 1975. This is also where, at the age of 15, I started toking. My military career was spent keeping my front in place... work hard and play hard. I was deeply "in the closet" for the entire 20 years, with one exception. I successfully steered a US Naval vessel to pay for a "party"... 'nuff said. I was married for a while (24 years) and raised 4 children after a divorce through their teenage years, successfully. I have 5 kids. Two of them nurses or nurses to be. Two of them are US Marines. The other one is a US Soldier. I also have 11 grandchildren. Other than my 20 years in the military, I am a musician (Jazz/Blues) playing sax and violin (sex & violence), photographer, poet, writer, farmer, beer brewer, chandler, mead maker, carpenter, did some work in the adult entertainment industry for 6 years, daddy and grampa. I now live off the land in Northwestern Minnesota and in my spare time I fight for cannabis legalization.

O’Reilly found one fact, literally one fact and made the entire repetitive argument on his abstract child abuse fact. It’s like arguing with a 5 year old. If the populous of our country can’t see through his terrible arguments we deserve what we get.

When will someone ask if the abusive parents are abusive without alcohol or drugs? Most likely never, because we all know that abuse happens in ALL arenas. Ie: the catholic church, foster families that foster for money, not children etc.
If we follow bills logic, church would be illegal!

O’ Really demonstrates the flawed thinking behind the conservative and teabaggers movements. They loudly protest against big government and call for freedom, personal responsibility, liberty, yet at the same time they wish to protect citizens from themselves and others.
It’s nothing but rhetoric to gain leadership control and our votes. If either party gains power, there may be a temporary return of power to the people, but expect a quick return to the ol’ Nanny State mentality as control is quietly re-established for our own good.

O’Reilly was always a wilfully ignorant corporate shill from day one. Leopards change their spots quicker than douchebags like him…

The paleoconservative voices at FOX-TV esp..FOX Business channel is Judge Napolitano breakout– a major intellectual of Right wing libertarian, patriot and even teabag mentality. Huff Post uses argumentum ad hominem-poison the well (just like CC zine) ,and doesn’t try to learn from the disparate theories being presented in the demise of neo-con ideology. The social and neocons are losing fast to John Stossel-Judge Nap ,who just slaughter these Hannity O’Reilly ilk. The REPS will back legal cannabis before WarBama ! Gov. Gary Johnson/Jesse Ventura 2012 …? Radical Ray from Phnom Penh

Here’s the problem: We’re hoping to deal with rational people. Even when the facts are explained, O’Reilly ends with, “You’re not going to end child abuse by legalizing drugs, you’re going to expand it!” It’s that kind of irrational fear mongering that creates such terror when it comes to cannabis. We have to start pointing that out during debate, just as we would for ad hominem arguments. O’Reilly says, “Legalizing cannabis will expand child abuse.” Right? Have you any facts to back that steamy B.S. up, Billy boy? No, but he sure did manage to say it at the end of the segment to make sure and SCARE PEOPLE. OMG WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN? I need some :cake:
