So you’re looking around the Stash and you see 
grinning at you from some other Stasher’s comment and you’re thinking, “how did they do that?”
It’s all a matter of knowing what code to type. Here is the current list (updated frequently) of smilie codes. Remember that they are “case sensitive” (o is different than O which are both not the number 0) and have to have spaces on both sides to work.
If you’d like to add a smilie to this list, send it by email to stash@norml.org with the Subject: New Stash Smilie. Smilies have to be 15×15 .GIF files with a transparent background. In rare cases I will approve a slightly larger .gif (like 
), but I may also reject any smilie sent in. I will come up with the code for the smilie.
Special note: The 420 smilie 
may only be used if it is actually 4:20 where you live when you type the comment, otherwise you shall be guilty of excessive blinkiness and subject to a day’s worth of bad internet karma.
