(ABC Montana) BILLINGS, Mont. – Officials say a firebomb was thrown into a medical marijuana business and “NOT IN OUR TOWN” was spray-painted on the storefront.
Fire crews were called at about 4:30 a.m. Monday, and the fire at Montana Therapeutics was quickly put out. No one was injured.
The Billings City Council is scheduled to vote Monday night on whether to place a moratorium on medical marijuana businesses. The city has issued more than 80 business licenses for the stores.

I have been told that when a story starts with the words, "I was born...", ya knew you were in trouble, so... here is me.
I was born in 1955, in a medium sized city in West Virginia. This is where I lived until I joined the military in 1975. This is also where, at the age of 15, I started toking.
My military career was spent keeping my front in place... work hard and play hard. I was deeply "in the closet" for the entire 20 years, with one exception.
I successfully steered a US Naval vessel to pay for a "party"... 'nuff said.
I was married for a while (24 years) and raised 4 children after a divorce through their teenage years, successfully.
I have 5 kids. Two of them nurses or nurses to be. Two of them are US Marines. The other one is a US Soldier.
I also have 11 grandchildren.
Other than my 20 years in the military, I am a musician (Jazz/Blues) playing sax and violin (sex & violence), photographer, poet, writer, farmer, beer brewer, chandler, mead maker, carpenter, did some work in the adult entertainment industry for 6 years, daddy and grampa. I now live off the land in Northwestern Minnesota and in my spare time I fight for cannabis legalization.

I currently live in Butte <MT and we need serious changes to the way we regulation the medicine because they intend patients to grow six plants and muraculously only have one useable oz on person, I hope the people calm themselfs…
Not surprising this occurred. Several decades ago I lived in a similar small MT township. When a discrete pornography store opened up, the township burned it to the ground.
Business as usual from what I recall. This is what a lot of people want to do but lack that special Wild West gene to commit it to action. I do not condone this action, but I wonder if this is a sign of things to come as change progresses forward. Last I checked though, any act of arson or public disruption is grounds for the Patriot Act to come into play. I surely hope some of these zealots don’t test that idea.
I do fear for others in the public eye on this one. Twice in as many days because of no demonization of the act by officials may be just the start. Maybe the chances are highest in just MT, but there are other states that could be affected with similar action by “well meaning citizens.”
Well i lived in MT some time ago, and i must say there are people that feel this way about pot, gays, hispanic people blacks , you name it they hated them, so its not a surprise this happened they will catch so alcoholic that did it. In MT the only thing to do IS DRINK a lot too, so they could use a new safer choice!
