I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

Cannabis hemp legalization fits in nicely with the Republican platforms of constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets.
Cannabis hemp prohibition in the US and much of the world has in a way allowed for monopolies to exist in the petro-chemical industry, the textile industry, the pharmacutical industy, the lumber/paper industry and even the agricultural industry. They have essentialy banned thier competition, forcing consumers to purchase inferior products that are not safe for us or our environment.
Our government continues to spend BILLIONS to persue, imprison, persecute and disfranchise hundreds of thousands of otherwise law abiding citizens every year.”
Thank You for telling the truth Gov. Johnson!
If anyone has a moment, I suggest that you go look for more information on Gary Johnson –
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gary-Johnson-Our-America/165297924363
He recently formed the Our America Initiative (http://ouramericainitiative.com) to speak about his views in regards to limited government and freedom. He has been an outspoken advocate for efficient government, lower taxes, and protection of civil liberties, revitalization of the economy and promoting entrepreneurship and privatization.
He is the type of leader that I think we need right now. I’ve already expressed my support and I hope that others will do the same.
[...] Governor Gary Johnson on The Colbert Report saying that marijuana prohibition is absolutely insane. (hilarious and dead-on) [...]
He’d get my vote!
This is what we need someone coming out for legalizing as his main platform, not just dropping one line that marijuana should be decriminalized then do nothing like Obama did to us. If this guy runs he has my vote for sure, he has been on every talk show lately speaking about legalizing and I think the Republicans would do good standing by this man. I truly believe that one man could change all this if they would just did it, this could be the guy that will if the Republicans support him? He only left office due to term limits and would have won again if they had no limits. He is a contender in my book so much more than Sara Palin.
Russ you should contact him for the show see if he will come on, I bet he would.
Gary Johnson is the only Governor to reduce the size of the state government.
Dream ticket Ron Paul / Gary Johnson 2012
I wish he would run for president.
