Coolie High
The West Coast rapper formerly known as Coolie or Coolwadda is primed and ready for his solo debut on Asphalt Entertainment, LLC, the label he recently formed with close friend and business associate, Keith K-Mack Boles. Coolie High is the culmination of many months on the mic, spitting verse after verse on track after track. Born Stacy Wagner and raised by a single mom in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, Coolie was a hip-hop baby who came to the life through breakdancing. Coolie and his friends started freestyling because there wasn’t really anything else to do once the breakdancing era played out.
Coolie has been making a name for himself in the rap game for more than a decade. In 1995, he joined a crew called The Tone Def Clique, where he met fellow rapper Chico. The two would eventually partner up to become Chico and Coolwadda, and release two full-length albums, WILD N THE WEST (MCA) and PARALLEL(456 Ent.). Both projects garnered modest success, critical acclaim, and put them in the company of numerous platinum selling producers, including Chris The Glove Taylor (Dr. Dre) and Mahogany (Jay-Z).

I am the host of The John Doe Radio Show podcast, and the S.A.F.E.R. Podcast on the THC Media Network and www.JohnDoeRadio.com. I have been directly involved in reform since 2007 in Colorado and created the show in January of '07 to support medical marijuana patients all over the nation in their decision to use marijuana.
Later in the year of '07 on my Birthday October 18th, I was raided by a drug enforcement task force for growing, and selling medical marijuana to an unqualified patient. She posed as a friend and someone who was legal, and in reality was working off a drug charge herself for law enforcement. In October of 2009 an arresting officer in my case, and the first through the door with an MP5 machine gun pointed at me was arrested on tow felony counts, and also gave information about current investigations and targets of the drug task force during the time of my case to a person on probation from a bust who he was sleeping with. There is a lot more to the story including me being the only felon in the country to have marijuana and all supplies in the grow ordered back to them upon conviction because of my medical marijuana legal status at the time. The great Rob Corry is working on overturning the plea in my case.
I am a drug felon and a victim of the Drug War. I made a mistake but not one that should even be a possibility to make under sensible legislation. Let's end this senseless persecution.
