Devin the Dude is no stranger to Cannabis users and Cannabis is no stranger to Devin the Dude. Almost all his cuts of music are about tokin on the fine green and if they aren’t directly related to Marijuana they certainly involve him sparking a joint somewhere in the process. His last three album titles have been Waitn’ to Inhale, Landing Gear, and Suite 420. No question his devotion.
Even putting aside all the great references to Cannabis you’re still left with a more chilled and relaxed rapper and hip-hop artist. While other rappers boast at being the hypest or the crunkest Devin the Dude, ‘aka’ Devin Copeland is more fit and satisfied for the laid back style and reference to life. Not to say he doesn’t cover the more serious topics in tunes. Living life and rougher times and coming out of Houston its surprising his style turned out as such. But, all more for us to enjoy as stoners.
