(FOX News) “Harry Potter” star Jamie Waylett has been charged with growing ten cannabis plants.
The 19-year-old actor will have to appear in court later this month for the charges stemming from an April arrest.
Waylett, who plays Potter bully Vincent Crabbe, was busted when cops pulled over his vehicle in London and allegedly found eight bags of marijuana. He was taken to a nearby police station before a team of officers raided his mother’s home in Camden, the Daily Telegraph reports.
A Metropolitan police spokeswoman said the actor would appear in court late this month and “is charged with producing a Class B drug, nearly ten plants of cannabis.”
The plants – valued at more than $3,000 – were allegedly found among DJ equipment and a Playstation, the Telegraph said.
Waylett may face up to 14 years for cannabis production, while the maximum charge for cannabis possession is five years.

This is so much BS, he could have Raped someone, left them on the side of the road to die and gotten out in 5-10, he could have killed someone in a car crash, him at fault and gotten out in less than that, yet he grew some plants hurting no one, and he gets 14 years? Like they dont even see how dumb that sounds, 14 years for 10 plants, what a horrible joke.
Marijuana is a dangerous gateway drug that leads our children towards use of dark magic. Musicians, immigrants, and He Who Must Not Be Named all partake of this deadly plant.
At first I laughed…Hairy Pothead….ha ha ha Dana’s book is a hoot…Then I thought poor guy, possibly ruined forever…over a ‘lil weed’…
We see it all here at the stash…from a fine for simple possession to a death sentence for trafficking/mfg…so I guess this possible sentence is middle of the road…Maybe we have a new cannabis activist???
