Hi, I am from a small native tribe from Arizona and my mother was recently diagnosed with type 4 cirrhosis. She has never drank alcohol in her life but was diagnosed with heart disease about 15 years ago. Through blood transfusions she attracted Hep. C. and now they finally realized she had cirrhosis. It’s been extremely diificult to see my beautiful mother dying every day in front of us. She will turn 61 in Oct. Although it seems unfair. We try and make her feel happy. I want to try and help eleviate some of the pain she goes through. I’m not exactly sure if the Herbs will hurt her. All I know is that it’s natural and how awful, the medicine’s that was given to her, make her feel. I myself enjoy herb and I know that when I feel sick, that it helps. This is the first time I have reached out in this way. Some of us natives aren’t too familiar with the internet and it helps to find pages like this. My mother on the other hand is afraid of the Ganj. To many reports that it is bad has frighten her, morally. How can I convince her that it will help. Thank you

I was recently busted for having about 1/4 of a bowls worth of pot which I use to keep my stomach settled from symptoms (nausea and lack of interest in eating) of Hep C. My laywer has recommended I find a good article on Pot for Hep C treatment of these symptoms. Does anyone know of a good article from a credible source that might help?

My heart goes out to the family of Kimberly Reyes for this needless loss of yet another life to the War on Drugs. This is exactly the type of tragedy that needs to be told so that people can relate to cannabis prohibition in terms they can identify with. It’s exactly the reason why our medical industry needs an overhauling. Hell, Gov. Palin, we already have ‘death panels’ and they need to be abolished. President Obama, you know in your heart that cannabis didn’t put Kimberly at risk of a failed transplant.

Single payer, public option, everyone eligible, personal choice health care for all.

My biggest concern is that I would like the government to have less influence in my life, not more. I haven’t had a lot of luck when the government shows up to ‘help.’

I would still support a public option in healthcare. Nobody will force you to take public healthcare; you may still have private insurance if you want it.

Don’t let the Glenn Becks and Rush Limbaughs scare you about “socialized medicine”. We have a socialized police dept, fire dept, and military, and they seem to work OK. There is no reason America can’t take care of her citizens’ health at least as well as the French, British, Canadians, Swedes, Norwegians, and every other civilized Western democracy.

Let’s actually cover the 47 million without health insurance first, then we can worry about what their acceptance of cannabis use will be.

Yeah, this is NO laughing matter Mr President.
What if that were one of YOUR kids?
This is SO wrong that it makes me wonder WTF our leaders are thinking.
The ignorance is astounding.
My sympathies to the Reyes family.
