I don’t usually troll around the website of The Sean Hannity Show, but the Fresh Stashers posted this link to a remarkable comment that I had to share.
First, though, the comment came on the subject of a poll from discussion groups that asked:

Now, of course, the results you’re seeing above are from our highly enlightened Stash audience. Click the screenshot thumbnail at the right and see what dropped my jaw at 4:20pm local time — 63.33% of Hannity’s voters think marijuana is safer than alcohol!
On to the comment; gdoane from Phoenix, Arizona. The first ones I found were on page 35 of forum from the link in the Stash. I followed backwards scanning this character all the way to page 1. Many of them are typical reefer madness I’ve debunked so many times before (it makes you schizo, emergency room visits, etc.), so I’ll instead give you the distilled philosophy of gdoane. Here are some lowlights, just from page 34 & 35:
The main thing that separates humans from animals is self-awareness and intelligence. Things that marijuana impairs. People who smoke marijuana are abandoning humanity. They have become as monsters, like Dr. Jekyll turned into Mr. Hyde.
No, really, this is a 21st century person, not one of my 1930’s Randolph Hearst quotes.
I don’t even want to see the face of any bastard who has touched marijuana. I hate them, I hate their hedonism, their lawlessness, their very existence is vulgar and I want their kind GONE.
“I want their kind gone.” Doesn’t that sound chillingly Nazi? No, I know Godwin’s Law; I was just making a nice segue for gdoane’s next comment about why we shouldn’t legalize and just put the cartels out of business.
You’re identifying an enemy and suggesting that we should join them, do what they do, and do it better than they do. Good thing we didn’t fight the Nazi’s that way, because we’d STILL have concentration camps in America.
Remember that glorious day when we finally got rid of the concentration camps in America? 
It’s the worst of all the drugs because it’s touted as being “harmless” in order to get little kids hooked on it. The average age of initiation (first use) of marijuana is 14.4 years old. That’s child molestation so far as I’m concerned. Damned disgusting pot smokers are the root cause of every evil in the world.
Don’t know where he got that stat. According to SAMHDA and cited at Adolescent-Substance-Abuse.com, “The average age of initiation of marijuana use in 1999 was 17.0 years. Since 1992, the average age has ranged from 16.5 to 17.4.” I guess technically it’s still child molestation at 17. By the way, “the average age at first alcoholic drink has increased slightly from 16.1 in 1984 to 16.2 in 2002″.
Mr. gdoane has many sensible people responding to his ludicrous claims and in response he returns with logic so twisted only the reefer mad can understand it. Another person commented on how legalization would remove most of the smuggler’s profits, which got this reply:
Marijuana is actually a useful idiot in the war on drugs because it’s so bulky that it takes up a lot of space in a smuggler’s cargo. Being illegal, it keeps out a lot of more dangerous drugs which would be otherwise smuggled in.
So, we if we legalize and remove the bales of Mexican brick weed, that just makes more space for the coke and heroin. OK, two questions:
- Why don’t they just remove the bales now?
- If they do smuggle in more coke and heroin, who buys it?
They [the Mexican drug cartels] murder people because they like to murder people, that’s who they are and it’s what they do. They’d kill you or me for a Klondike Bar. They don’t kill for money or profit or business, they’re killers because that’s what they love to do and they’d do it for free. They’re not even remotely in it for the money, they just love the violence. They’re criminally vicious and incapable of being reformed.
I’ll actually agree a little with this one: the cartel gangsters who are drilling people’s heads, dipping bodies in acid, decapitating… yes, they are criminally vicious and incapable of being reformed. So if that is the case, should we provide for them a lucrative unregulated business that provides all the power and protection that money and corruption can buy, a business that rewards them for their criminally vicious nature? Al Capone was just lowlife gangster until Prohibition gave him the opportunity to take his vicious criminal nature to the big time.
The best way to reform marijuana laws would be to make distributing pot to a minor a death penalty offense. If a kid has pot and he got it from an adult, the adult needs to die. There’s no place for child predators in this world and especially not for child predators who prey on kids for money.
I got news for you gdoane: most of the kids getting pot are getting it from another kid; there are over one million teenage pot dealers in America. Unlike alcohol, where kids have to find one adult who will illegally buy it from another adult, kids today find it easier to get pot than alcohol, a stat that’s risen 37% in the past two years.
I could spend all day on gdoane’s comments. He’s actually online right now, but to chat with him, I’d have to sign up for Hannity’s America and I just can’t do that. So if any Stashers would like to register at http://forums.hannity.com and invite gdoane to the show, I think he’d make an incredibly entertaining live interview.

Actually, a similar poll at Hannity forums revealed that just over 3/4 of those who voted believe that adults should be allowed to grow and consume their own cannabis.
The biggest group at the forums is the neo-conservatives, but there are strong contingents of libertarians, liberals and paleo-conservatives over there as well, and the neo-cons by no means make up over 50% of the posters.
Read some of the cannabis and drug war threads over there. Very entertaining.

The Drug Free America Foundation page and blog. is FULL of shit like this. When their increadlibly flawed logic is demantled, they just ignore it or sometimes delete the “offending” post with the inconnvientient links. Nonetheless check it out. It’s good for a good laugh.

Well if anything it shows HanniFck’s viewers are smarter than he is. It pissed him off so he went off on us, but he has said the same thing about liberals, war protesters and many other groups.
I take what this man says as nothing, he holds no power over me but he is one in many that are flamming the fires of hatred that will get someone killed someday and just like all the others he will not see any link to himself or find any fault in what he does!
F this guy, he is whats wrong in America and the sooner he is off the air and out of public view, the sooner we can heal all the dammage he and his buddies have caused!
