Starting Monday, you’ll be seeing the byline of Cannabis Karri, who will be managing the music portion of the Daily Audio Stash. Karri has been broadcasting great music up on the North Oregon Coast from beautiful Astoria, Oregon’s KMUN 91.9 FM (89.5 FM Tillamook County), hosting the Acoustic Brunch on Wednesdays 10am-Noon Pacific and other shows for the past four years.

Karri also has a huge advantage over me in selecting the music, because I’m an old blues/rock/R&B bass player, and my tastes tend more toward those areas and less toward… well… let’s just say one Grateful Dead tune per year is enough for me, long guitar noodling bores me, and I figure I’ve heard every reggae song because I’ve heard one of them.  (I’m such a fuddy-duddy.  Like Homer Simpson said, “Why does there have to be new bands?  everybody knows rock music peaked in 1974!”… Oh.  I’ve got a comments section now.  Please be gentle.)  Karri, on the other hand, used to work in a Grateful Dead-themed shop back in the day when we were coming up in Boise, Idaho, and is a partner in Bella Blue Tie Dye clothing company.  I’m certain you’ll like her choices better than mine.

So welcome Cannabis Karri to the Daily Audio Stash.  If you have music requests, send them along to stash ‘at’ norml.org, and we’ll forward them to Karri.
