Legislation that sought to regulate the physician-supervised use of marijuana failed to clear out of committee by a March 4, 2011 session deadline, this killing it for this year.
Senate File 266 would have authorized qualified patients to use medical marijuana and it have would allowed licensed facilities to dispense it. The bill received subcommittee approval on Thursday, February 24, but it was not acted on by the Senate Human Resources Committee.
