Iowa Stasher RevRayGreen Tells Lawmakers to Support Medical Marijuana

DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowans looking for relief from their constant pain told lawmakers on Tuesday that they want a bill to legalize medical marijuana.

Members of the Senate subcommittee, considering the bill, heard similar stories from Iowans who said marijuana would improve their condition, unlike some prescription medications.

“Side effects from many prescription medications feel worse than the actual disease,” said Ray Lakers.

He has multiple sclerosis and has used marijuana in the past and paid the price.

“I was actually arrested for less than a gram of marijuana back in 2005 and went to jail and did six days in county to get off probation over it,” said Lakers.

yessss’ there could finally be relief for iowans for every suffering indiviual. thats done research and has found mj threw trail and tribulation that find comfort and the serenity to greet everyday as a newday instead of yesterdays sorrow’s … go greeen by the way i currently suffer from illness that r to this day unknown ex. the symptoms accompanie that of a cancer or worse im dealing with chronic nausea and a dramatic loss in apptite im 22 yrs of age and a young african american and in my tango with mj i’ve always self medicated recreational not even realizing i wuz doing so. i’ve also never got euphoric affects from my use now that i’ve access to my own conniseueir class med’s i can truly say that mj fuels my day to eat for depression dealing with my unknown illnnes and insomina i just had a beautiful baby girl by the name of NIKIDA me and her mother arent together b-cuz of my illness ad she refuses to work thing’s out even if she jepordises are daughter’s happiness and well being i just want to be there for them both. how knows i could pass away soon at 22 under 120lb’s rapid weight loss scares me. they are my family. so in by stateing those facts advocatly urge peple to stand for what u believe in even if its aganist the learned way of life stay open minded dont let your thoughts or other’s deter you away from ur happiness.
