Last week, we shared a classic tune from the late, great Jacob Miller, and this week, we feature Mr. Miller again. The reason: I really wanted to focus on holiday tuneage for the next couple of weeks, and there is precious little reggae music that speaks to Christmas *and* ganja. Leave it to Jacob Miller to have composed a number of appropriate tracks. And so, today we’ll hear from Miller with Ray-I, who came up with a clever ditty for the Christmas season. If what you want for the holidays is a warm fire, good times, loved ones, and the sacred herb, this irie tune is right tune is right up your alley (and you can find it for purchase at iTunes). From the 1978 VP Records/INgrooves release Natty Christmas and the 2003 Sanctuary Records compilation LP Trojan Christmas, we present Jacob Miller and Ray-I featuring Red Rat and Turbulence, and “All I Want for Ismas.”
