I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

The trailer for this movie even shows a one second shot of them smoking the J, followed by Steve Martin saying “I havent had this much fun in a long time”!!! This was on my local Fox station!

Relax guys its not just marijuana. Ive heard that now a days, an R rating is also given if tobacco products are being used in a movie.

Ok, so the movie The Incredibles needs to be rated R since Mr. Incredible drinks a mimosa which contains alcohol, but since there are no adverse consequences in the movie–according to the MPAA–the movie should be rated PG. And there is more than enough evidence related to the ADVERSE CONSEQUENCES of alcohol. Therefore the move should obviously made rated R. (And I hope no one takes this the wrong way because I love this movie.)

What amazes me is how the movie “Poltergeist” got a PG rating and there is a bedroom scene early in the movie with the two main adults characters smoking cannabis and enjoying life. They show the smoked joint and rolling a joint from the stash in a cigar box.

hope more producers see the free publicity this got… Controversy=$$$$

gee, i wonder why movies with consequence free alcohol references are not rated R….

I think its great that this topic came up in the news. It gives reason for people that usually wouldn’t walk about marijuana -to talk about it! The more our green lady is talked about the more people have an interest to seek the harmless truth.
