Viele Cannabis-Liebhaber sind denn auch gar nicht erfreut über ihre Missachtung als Zielgruppe und haben zum Boykott von Kellogg´s-Produkten aufgerufen. Die amerikanische Marihuana-Lobby NORML hat auf boycottkelloggs.net eine Liste aller Kellogg´s Produkte und mehrere Kontaktmöglichkeiten veröffentlicht, um dem Müesli-Konzern mal so richtig die Marihueinung zu sagen. Insbesondere die Tatsache, dass Phelps 2004 betrunken am Steuer erwischt wurde, ohne dass das Kellogg´s im Geringsten gestört hätte, sorgt für rote Köpfe bei den sonst so relaxten Hanfkissen-Fans.
