I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

By the way man I couldn’t have said it any better… I seen on twitter and facebook saying “oo I forgot that was today. It ain’t gonna stop me from taking this bong rip”. These idiots are selfish and have no clue what they are talking about and or doing…

I feel your pain Brent. We were close but greed and fear won this time. It’s hard to look ahead today (I’m so fucking bummed) but maybe tomorrow… a different state, a different president, another time. Thanks to the guys and gal at NSL!

Prop 19 should of left out the portion about employer testing. i.e. make it legal but still allow employers to test and/or fire for use. I believe 19 would have more palatable to more people without that provision.

I can only think of three things right now, one that call from CA and he said Many dont even care about prop 19 and are not excited. Two that the teabaggers of our movement(stoners against legalization) fighting against the movement. Both these are the “I gots mine crowd” and how this has taken us back to the 1970s when we thought it would be legal then too, thats three.

As for the I gots mine crowd, HOW DARE YOU! HOW DARE YOU take all we have worked for as national movement and just used it to stop any chance of changing things on a much larger scale. You have taken all the hard work and money we as a national movement gave to you to get your medical laws 14 years ago, you have taken all the support and time we as a national movement to help stop arrests of the medical users. These all happened not because you alone in CA made it happen, but by support of many many people all over this nation, Canada helped too in the 90s, Mark was always helping out. The people that have stepped out and up for your cause in CA over the years, the lives devoted to CA laws, like Jack. You have taken all this from us all we can give and more but Yesterday YOU SCREWED US ALL!

HOW DARE YOU, not be excited for prop 19, to lobby against us, to work with prohibitionists or just not caring to the point you couldnt get the vote out? It must be so nice to have all the best pot in the world and have a way to legally get it even at inflated prices but it still must be nice to have that. It must be nice to have the feeling of freedom that 215 gives you and the power knowing that the majority support you getting pot. It must be nice to have all that and still be picky about how pot is to be legalized to the point of not giving a crap if its not perfect. It must be nice to get handed all this support, money and time we all have put into your state over the years, just to wipe your ass with it. It must be nice to sit there right now smoking your double bubble purple grape zapped train kush while the rest of us that have been here for you for so long are destroyed yet you just smoke away like nothing even happened?

Now Im a medical user, I can not function without consuming about 5-7g a day, its that or being doped up to the point Im asleep with pain meds. So I get it I really do we needed to get the sick and dieing their meds first and we all fell that in our hearts. But I also always had said and felt that if taken too far, if given that freedom, that it wouldnt take much to make a split between medical and 90% of the rest of you. I also knew that its human nature to have ONE UP on fellow people and that a special situation like this in CA could cause a, well like we say a I GOTS MINE attitude! We did away with kings because the had special rights and wanted to keep what they had to themselves and the rest of the people well they can just become a king then? No we overthrew the kings and took what they had and chopped their heads off. i have said from day one watch that medical that once in place we have to keep strong together and work together for one goal, to legalize, but we didnt.

They seem to have forgot that and now we sit here the day after the first time in 73yrs had a chance to legalize and we failed. How do they feel, is it even in their thoughts that they just screwed over the rest of the world. Do they understand that they just let a backlash door open and that soon prohibitionists will start flowing through? Do they not see that their I gots Mine could be in trouble too because of this? A backlash is coming folks, i can see it and it wont be pretty. It will only take a few things now to push our movement back to 1990 levels. Thats like 30% in favor, compared to almost 50% as of yesterday. Ive seen this happen before and we all were right there waiting for legalizing and it fell way down and it took 40 years to get it back up to where we tried again.

Soon they will start closing the pot shops and arresting more and more medical users, its going to happen. The Right will run on, stopping this medical pot junk and force states to comply with federal laws, its going to happen. Just watch as the next election, we have again a Hard on Drugs attitude coming from both sides because of this failed vote, its going to happen. The world was watching that vote and it says a lot that it failed, but it says even more that it failed by so little. 6% more and we would have had it, 6% is not that big in fact its just about the size of a non caring CA generation I Gots Mine and a group of traitors, Stoners against legalizing. Thats it, we lost because of them and I know its not the majority of Ca and many here will be pissed that I have put CA in a group, but its your people out there, how did it come to this?

Im taking a break from the movement for some time, i have a big surgery coming up in a week and the sadness i feel because of this vote well i just cant do it right now, what can we do anyhow the vote is over and we have a new congress coming that will just be so good for the cannabis reform movement and a President that himself has lied to us and made fun of us, so where can we turn? Im sorry if i upset anyone, if you voted Yes thank you, you are a true brother in this War. If you live in Ca and feel Ive blasted you Im sorry I just know like with the Gays losing their rights in 2008 that something went horribly wrong and we have a huge crack somewhere that needs fixed before we will ever win this. Im mad at those that voted No or that didnt vote and Im sure there were many that did just that. We needed all of you, the whole cannabis community but like everything in America, once profit can be made from it then all rules fly out the window! Capitalists seem to have greed and corruption in their blood because it comes out so easy when threatened even the littlest bit!

I love you all here at the stash, NSL and the Chat, I will miss you all while Im away, I just need a break and it will do me good to get away. As normal thanks Russ without you I wouldnt have a door into the movement and for all you do too OMG I dont know how you do it. Jon, get better man, i might listen the first day or so you are back, because, its you. Karri you are the best, I love your news and your so kind to offer the couch to sleep on, if you had a couch for 6 I would come right now with my kids and wife but thats ok I know the my clan would scare anyone and want us out of their home day one. After the many many loses yesterday across this country i truly wonder if a move out of the country wouldnt be best for me, Costa Rica sounds nice! So take care all for a bit Ill be back sometime in the future when I get over this painful backstabbing I feel. Oh and sorry so long, Im really not happy folks.

I know right … we are moving forward to a certain extent … but c’monnnn

  9. Just Legalize It

we got some good from massachusetts where every single marijuana ballot question was voted yes… too bad it was just to let our elected officials know what mass. residents have been telling them for awhile… we support MMJ and full legalization!
