One thing I am really thankful for is this awesome job at NORML, where I get to meet the coolest cannabis activists in the country. I count the overtly cannabis-themed musicians in this category of “activists”; I believe us having a shared specific set of musicians from all genres makes our community quite unique – there are pro-hemp rappers, reggae artists, rockers, hip-hoppers, beat-mixers, DJs, and yes, even country tokers.
Chief among the country tokers in my ears is Chief Greenbud, my friend out of Nashville, Tennessee. Now, don’t you go running off saying you don’t like country – this is just good ol’ American music with catchy melodies and funny lyrics. Go check out Myspace.com/cgb and buy some Chief Greenbud CDs; they make great gifts for that stoner on your list who already has enough pipes, pokers, bongs, boxes, tie-dyes, rollers, papers, and lava lamps already.
