Hey, Stashers, I’m proud to announce a new partnership between the NORML Daily Audio Stash and the Global Marijuana Music Awards. The GMMA is run by a Aussie named Tam, and he will be providing the newly-revamped “Daily Toker Tunes” section of the Stash. This week I’m going to post a few of the GMMA winners from 2008, and then next week Tam takes over posting new tunes about weed all genres. These tunes will also be a part of the Marijuana Music Awards competition and we’ll be getting your votes on your favorites as well. — “R”R
The Herb by Franziska from Italy won the 2008 Global Marijuana Music Awards. After becoming the best reggae band at the 2007 European Reggae Contest, Franziska won Song of Year in the 2008 Global Marijuana Music Awards with the new hit single “The Herb”. The song’s theme is legalise the weed!
The 2008 GMMA winners were announced on 20 September in Texas, and Franziska follow the last winner Collie Buddz with his big hit “Come Around”, named Song of Year at 2007 Global MMA.
