Music: Mugwumps – “Dig the Sensation”

I. Love. Sweden. Besides the United States and the UK, I can’t think of any other country that has created so many good bands/musicians. Should I make a list? I think I should! ABBA, Ace of Base, The Cardigans, Jose Gonzalez, The Hives, I’m From Barcelona, The Knife, Jens Lekman, Lykke Li, Yngwie fricken Malmsteen!, Millencolin, Refused, Robyn, Sahara Hotnights, The Sounds, I could go on and on but I won’t … and now we’re going to hear Mugwumps, a band from Uppsala who is not afraid to sound very similar to the Rolling Stones.
Their influences are AC/DC, the Stooges, and Motörhead, and they sound like a mishmash of all of those bands plus the Stones and just good 70s rock and roll. They rock. Let’s rock out on a Tuesday, shall we?

Good stuff fer shure[pun intended]
Now that Ive had time to check these guys out, pretty good band. I think the Motorhead reference is pretty dern funny, not sure they know who Motorhead is. Anyways, to me, its a cross between Blind Melon and the Rolling Stones and makes for just some plain Rock N Roll….
Ya I agree about the Sweds and good job for mentioning Yngwie. The Sweds do good in the METAL world also with bands such as Opeth, In Flames, Soilwork, and many more.
Anyone who digs “Stoner” Rock/Metal will love Witchcraft.
