The Dirtball is back! This Bend, Oregon-based rapper has been on a whirlwind summer, appearing on four overlapping tours with such heavyweights as Tec-9, Kottonmouth Kings, Big-B, hed-pe, and many more great musicians.
Today Dirtball calls in while hanging out in the Portland airport, awaiting a connecting flight to Phoenix where he has another set of shows to perform. This guy is the real deal, putting out his rhymes and rhythms for the people. Check out a Dirtball show if you get the chance, you won’t be disappointed.
The Dirtball is touring to support his new album, “Crook County”, which is the actual name of the county in Oregon where Bend is located. You’ve heard The Dirtball back in June, when we played “Moonshine Rhyme” and “Just a Friend”, and back in May when “Crook County” dropped we played “Mushroom Cloud”.
I was originally going to interview The Dirtball yesterday as he was out in the Oregon wilderness picking mushrooms (not those kind, but a rare Asian delicacy kind that I can neither pronounce nor spell), but he got too far out of cell range for a good recording. So in the spirit of the fungus among us, I’m replaying “Mushroom Cloud” (those kind) for today’s Stash. Enjoy!
