Music: Zion Train – “Zion High”

Original Sounds Of The Zion Remixed

Today on the stash we are serving up some trance reggae with ZION TRAIN and their dub-style track, “Zion High”. The album, Original Sounds Of the Zion, was released in 2002. The material from that album was passed around musical friends and peers to produce this 2004 remix version with dubwise and techno. Zion Train are dub/dance pioneers hitting the dub scene in the early 90’s with their debut album, “A passage to Indica”. The members are all single-monikered musicians from the UK with Perch, Cod and Trench doing the live dub mixing and production, Molara on vocals, Hake on trumpet, and Forkbeard on trombone. A peek at their web site, wobblyweb.com, gives you insight into these prolific musicians and their amazing touring schedule. This weekend they are playing in France and next weekend in England and Belgium. Hop on the Zion Train for a ride you can groove to!
