Legislation has been introduced in the Nevada Assembly seeking to allow for state-licensed facilities to provide medical marijuana to authorized patients.
Assembly Bill 438 proposes to permit the establishment of medical marijuana dispensaries in the state. Licensed dispensaries would be permitted under the law to legally acquire, possess, cultivate, manufacture, deliver, transfer, transport, supply, sell, or dispenses marijuana, and marijuana-related supplies and educational materials to authorized patients or their caregivers. The bill does not restrict existing law which allows for qualified patients and caregivers the option to grow limited amounts of marijuana for their own medical use.

Similar legislation is already in place in several states, including Colorado, Maine, New Mexico, and Rhode Island.
AB 438 has been referred to the Committee of Health and Human Services. However, committee chair April Mastroluca has so far refused to schedule it for a AB 438 must be called for a hearing before Friday, April 15th, or it is dead for the session. i would like to know if these despeneries will only be in Las Vegas? or in the Reno area also..my concern is that the state is making us obtain our medicine illegal becuz some patients can not afford to grow their own, or are to sick to mantain the harvest.
