NORML has written you frequently over the past months to inform you of important upcoming votes in the state legislature. None of these have been as pivotal as next week’s Senate floor vote on House Bill 648.
Yesterday, members of the members of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee voted 4 to 1 in favor of HB 648, which seeks to make New Hampshire the fourteenth state to legalize the physician-supervised use of cannabis. That means that all that stands in the way of legal medical cannabis in New Hampshire is next week’s Senate vote and the approval of Gov. John Lynch.
This is it, folks! Please take time today to write your state senator and tell him or her to vote ‘yes’ on HB 648.
In addition, please consider leaving a phone message for your Senator informing him or her that your future support for them will be based in large part on whether or not they vote in favor of HB 648. For your convenience, a pre-written letter will be e-mailed to your state senator when you visit here.
Finally, after you written and called your Senator, please take a moment to contact Gov. John Lynch and voice your support for medical cannabis reform. Contact information for the Governor appears here, or you may e-mail him (feel free to cut and paste a version of NORML’s pre-written letter here.)

Thank you for supporting NORML’s marijuana law reform efforts in New Hampshire.

this bill should pass and if the persons voting on it had a sick family member that needed pot to eat! it would pass without any question. I dont smoke but have done it in the past but my wife needs pot just to eat a small meal as chemo and radiation treatments make this nearly impossible!! This drug is so mild yet so benaficial to so many. Please have some kind of human compassion my wife is such a nice person and could use your vote!!!
