One of the most infamous and dreaded days of the year is rapidly approaching: tax day. However, instead of moaning and groaning like the majority of adult American citizens, this is our day to demand to be taxed. That’s right, I said it … Let’s stand up and demand to be taxed!
As cannabis consumers, we are the only group in the whole country asking the government to tax and regulate our product of choice. As NORML affiliates, this is an easy-to-understand pro-reform message to get out to your local area.
Think about it this way … The media will already be at your local post office covering the mass of people turning in their taxes at the last minute. National NORML will be providing you with sign images and ideas.
The chapters really only need to do three things to be successful:
- Make the signs
- Show up in conjunction with the media
- Demand to be taxed!
FYI… I will also be sending out a general email to our NORML News mailing list in order to inform people about NORML’s Tax Day protest plans. I will be directing them to their local chapter and offering instruction on how to start chapters, so be prepared!

Thats a good idea. Follow the cameras. Not just this time but every time the news media is on the street with their cameras. Get in the picture with a sign.
What about sporting events ?
