I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

I re-read what I wrote. BTW- The reason I left Utah, was because I had 2 marijuana charges chasing me around, and I was tired of spending time in jail. Prohibition was directly responsible for my homelessness, and many other’s too!

Thanks MrSpof! Good to see you over at the stash man!

There were millions of others in spirit standing with you yesterday. I salute you and recommend a new pair of pants. There’s no way the ones you currently have will support the set of balls you’re sporting ;-)

BTW- I don’t mean to offend when I talk Jesus stuff. They say that Utah is “Life Elevated”.. So is Idaho!!!! So Im just feeling chatty.. Anyway, I got chores.

Again, THANKS EVERYONE!!! What a freakin blast!!! Have fun out there on 4/20!!!!! I’ll probably be at the court house, getting a little more use out of my sign, and flyers.

This was a privilege and an honor to participate.
Thanks NORML, Russ, Stashers! I don’t usually feel it necessary to mention embarrassing emotional moments, as you know, I try to be a tough guy just like when I was 6 years old. But. I leaked a little bit after reading the words that Russ wrote in the blog and then I noticed that there were 9 comments. I was blown away by what I read. Dave in Idaho Falls!!!!! A brother from another mother in Taterville?!!! Good to meet you. Thanks everyone else for the encouragement.

I petitioned and gathered signatures for Initiative 75 ten years ago. I was skeptical of that Initiative passing. From my prospective of growing up and being sheltered most of my life ‘Behind the Zion Curtain’, when I ended up in Seattle and homeless at a young age, being a little scared, and alone. Then, to find everyone was cool, and smoked herb with me. And then to find a job gathering signatures to legalize herb and getting paid 25 cents each signature to do so. To further my already over-stimulated brain, finding out that very few people were annoyed with me asking them for their signature and signing up thousands of people very easily.. And then… Finding a fat sack of chronic, easier than going to the liquor store..

Since that day, I have been very openly and proudly pro-pot legalization.

I quit for 7 years, but still never stopped supporting marijuana legalization.

Now Im a husband, dad, business owner, and very blessed…

I remember saying prayers when I first got “saved” as a disciple of Jesus, that when I am successful I will help those in need.

So forever more I have a special place in my heart for those exiled from the Zion Curtain, Homeless folks, and ganja consumers and those who are victims of the drug war..

Marijuana, and more specifically life without the intense prohibition.. Opened my eyes to cultures that I would have never understood, and possibly always been afraid of.

Ganja saved me from ignorance as a teenager. And ganja rescues me from my intense cluster headaches now…

    Praise Jah!!!

If we all would get off our butts and do the same thing we could drive this issue home. There is more of us then anyone will admit and one big outpouring, well its what we need to and should do!

One march on DC, one weekend this spring/summer, call it, the 10 million Marijuana Man March! All americans have a huge stake in this issue. We cant sit back and wait for it to happen, it wont, we have to act and I cant see any better time in my 35 years then RIGHT NOW!

I dont want Prohibition another day, let alone another 35 years, we must act!
