I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

[...] marijuana patients being “the last people in the world who would probably buy a gun”.  Huh?  WTF?  And Steven said “In California, 67% of the people voted in favor of Prop 215″. [...]

So sad, and some people I have met wondered why I hate the police. The police treat us like we are all criminals until proven innocent. It doesn´t even matter if your the victim. Fuck tha police, and legalize it. So fuckin sad

Many of us have now finally wised up to the fact that the best avenue towards realistically dealing with drug use and addiction is through proper regulation, which is what we already do with alcohol & tobacco –two of our most dangerous mood altering substances. But for those of you whose ignorant minds traverse a fantasy plane of existence, you will no doubt remain sorely upset with any type of solution that does not seem to lead to the absurd and unattainable utopia of a drug free society. There is an irrefutable connection between drug prohibition and the crime, corruption, disease and death it causes. if you are not capable of understanding this connection then maybe you’re using something far stronger than the rest of us. No amount of money, police powers, weaponry or pseudo-science will make our streets safer; only an end to prohibition can do that.

I am literally nauseated by the actions of the so-called law enforcers in these cases. I hope disciplinary action is in order…

    This is outrageous.

Police are supposed to serve and protect.

They are there to execute a public trust. That’s why we pay them. These stories are indicative of FAIL. Hopefully, they’ll do better in the future.
