I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

Oh yes, it’s an “outrage” that the sick and dying will have access to a natural remedy that alleviates their pain and suffering.

It looks as though the west coast is setting a trend for the rest of the country, and it’s time that the east coast caught up.

It seems people are starting to realize that depriving the sick of medications for the sake of the drug war is counterproductive.

I noticed how that older gentleman said ” not a good idea ” or ” bad idea ” or something like that . Well , i ain’t no spring chicken myself but , there is a heck of a lot more older people that think that marijuana is a bad drug than there are young people .I understand why……after 50 years of lies , more lies , bullshit & more bullshit along with all those deceptive ads put out by the Beer companies , Big Pharma and tobacco companies which are made to ” trick ” you into thinking marijuana is a problem no wonder why these old folks think it’s bad .

I hope this cafe is a success. I like the idea of having a place where medical users can gather, grab some coffee, light one up and socializing with some other local medical users. Maybe the opening of this one, if successful, will lead to more opening in other medical states. Of course with the taboo of marijuana naturally some people are going to be concerned but I believe that they have nothing to worry about.

Wow, they all said that many are upset about it, yet they got one old man saying NO it wont be good, where is the outrage?

Anyhow, Sounds great guys wish I could move there and socialize with you at the cafe, good luck and go get’em!

The clothing store next door will do a bang up job after the “cafe” opens. I would like to hear what the owners from that shop say about their increase in business in couple of months. :w00t:

Congrats Madeline and friends …It was a shame that the 4 MSM’s in Portland all used the exact same video footage…to lazy or broke to even cover the story properly…This is a wonderful event ..people talk about the wild west of weed here in cali …but I live in a dry county…We could never have such a resource. Collective organization is banned, at all levels.. Oregon is leading the nation….thanx
