I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

  1. We Know Legalization Will Take Awhile, But Can You At Least Stop Killing Us Over It? | The NORML Stash Blog

[...] I love this kinda talk. Can we stop the killing, can we stop the SWAT raids?  Can we stop using excessive police force to enforce these drug laws?  If we have to accept that they’re going to be around for awhile and it’s politically [...]

Dude I know if I had a cop come into my house and shoot my dog I would tackle him and kill him cause I don’t think it’s right to do that to a animal that knows nothing other than “that’s my master and I love him so back off”. Especially if they try saying a fat pug tried to bite and maim them, cause only a retarded judge would say wow them pugs are bad.

I’m not surprised that people think that Mikey. I think it’s funny because with all the growers and smokers that I know that are dog owners, the only reason why those dogs would “intimidate” anyone who is sneaking into their house isn’t out of abuse, but out of the pets devotion to the owner and wanting to protect them. Plus, it’s still an animal. Chris rock said it best when he was talking about the tiger attacking Roy, “Everyone was saying that the tiger went crazy. No that tiger went tiger.” Most dogs that attack a prowler, isn’t out of abuse…it’s out of instinct.

How about a coffee table book made up of photos of all the dogs (pets?) killed and maimed in raids such as this one? Profits go to a managed fund to help cover the vet bills for the dogs that died or survived – and will die and survive future incidents, since this isn’t stopping anytime soon. Yes, I’m aware that it’s very close to blatant emotional manipulation and it also feeds into our strange human nature. The one where most people seem to think “you can get away with this stuff on humans – but don’t you dare shoot the dog!”

… I’d buy one. I’m not being sarcastic or flippant with this idea. I think it’s needed. I wouldn’t know where to start.

I’d simply lose it if a cop shot my dogs in front of me.
