BELLE VERNON – Southwest Regional police are asking the public to help out with information involving a bizarre robbery that took place late Monday evening.
According to police, when Kenneth Arnold, 26, of 326 Main St., Apt. 7, Belle Vernon, returned to his second floor apartment shortly after 11 p.m., he found three white males waiting for him.
Arnold said two of the males were standing off to the side and the other was sitting on the steps leading to his apartment.
According to Arnold, the person on the steps stood up and told him the three were Fayette County Drug Enforcement Agency agents.
The man then pushed Arnold against a wall and threatened to shoot him if he did not remain quiet and cooperate.
It doesn’t sound like the men flashed fake badges or wore anything with “DEA” on it. However, I post this to remind law enforcement that criminals do pose as police sometimes. If you’re wondering why sometimes you guys get shot when you’re serving no-knock warrants on people’s homes, this is why.

Thanks for posting this Russ. Let this set an example why people grab a gun for protection during a raid when they think they are being robbed! Let my town set the example. Everyone needs to know what is happening and why innocent people are being killed for trying to protect themselves. Too many innocent Americans have been “Murdered” because of things like this.
Thanks again!
