NORML is running a $10,000 Pro-Cannabis Ad Contest. You can submit a 30-to-60 second video or Flash animation and you could win! We’ve received a few videos already, but want to give everyone a chance to submit one, so we’ve extended the deadline to January 15, 2009. (I tried explaining that 30 seconds of video production can take quite some time to write, storyboard, record, edit, and publish.)
Here’s a sample:

I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.
I live in AZ which has just past a medical marijuana prop. I would like to report that I have recently received a prescription for chronic migraines and nausea. This has been a chronic problem for the last two years due to the fact my doctor failed to do a monthly Depakote med level for 10-12 months causing me to go into coma. I have suffered neurological damage due to this fact. My weight has dropped drastically from 240 lbs to 165 lbs because of the nausea. Smoking marijuana helps with the nausea and somewhat for the migraine it self. I am on 20 different medications and I am trying to find herbal and alternative medical treatments… i.e….. auricular acupuncture due to the fact that it also shut down my liver and being on so many medications leaves me at risk of going into renal failure once again. It is a great victory for this prop to pass which gives people as myself a choice in there medical care.
