OK, other than the obligatory pot pun headline (someday I will count them), this video from KTVU San Francisco does a great job of covering the Ammiano presser yesterday, but you’ll have to surf over there to watch it, because they don’t provide any embed code.

I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.
That’s a glass-half-full way of looking at it. It’s like how I defend Cheech & Chong; if they think the worst we are is lovable deadbeats, that’s a lot better than murderous drug fiends.
This is by far the best pot pun that I’ve ever seen in mainstream media.
Think about it: the headline writer just assumes that the reader has been in a situation where someone has passed a joint around.
We’re truly moving into a world where marijuana use is normal, accepted, well-understood to be…just harmless fun (for adults).
Perhaps you should count article(s) without a pun, that way you don’t have to take off your socks
