I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

The reason more weed was picked up in Lake County is because the biggest trees are Oak trees so you can’t really hide your Pot . Then there is Humboldt which shows the least amount of confiscated Pot . Well , Humboldt is actually first and grows more Pot than any other County . Humboldt is the County with the tallest trees in the World . The redwood trees so , you can hide your grow under the trees and the helicopters can’t swoop down low there like you can in other Counties . There are many more indoor grows that can also be hidden under redwood trees . Humboldt is a County of huge forests , so the growing is harder to spot .Tulare County = same similar thing as Lake County . No real forests & trees are small like in Lake County .Mendocino County is actually second most producing marijuana County . It is like Humboldt but , Mendocino trees are smaller . They have redwood trees there , too but not as many as Humboldt . Mendocino has Pine trees , oak and the smaller trees unlike Humboldt which has huge redwood trees .

What is so sad is that I work in a hospice and with terminal patients who truly need medical THC to reduce pain, stimulate appetite, releave nausea and muscle/nerve pain for real. Sitting around getting high instead of following one’s dream is one thing but this is a waste of resources on both sides. Financially Ca could use the money and police force to deal with true offences and physically patients need the relief. And lets not even get into how damaging alcohol is on so many levels. I remember when CAMP was fun!

Yeap, Troll is my guess too. Keep up the good work Russ!!!

MM, you never answered his question about what it was about his post that DID “insult” you.
My guess is you are a troll. B’bye.

Well, in review of my first post, I admit its vague and–as I conclude from your response–completely devoid of any sense at all.

So anyway, main article aside, if I didn’t know better I would chuckle and say that your response is tongue-in-cheek.

Now really, did you think I was insulted by gov’t reported statistics and/or the fact that you pointed them out? I agree, if I were that would be just plain silly. Then, apparently without consideration to what I had said, you opine as to the error in moderate support for CAMP. Just to be clear, I didn’t say a lick about support for CAMP, moderate or otherwise.

I could/can go on and expound on my vaguery etc. but (here is where someone can be civil, perhaps even considerate…) I’m 0 for 2 so far…but I’ve already probably given too much fuel to be misdirected back at me. Sheesh

Wow–my first visit here and I have to say, if the commentary following the news release is at all typical of the atmosphere here, shame on you.

You insult those of us who support the basics of your agenda and aren’t either way too baked to notice, to dumb to think for ourselves/recognize poor journalism or aren’t already extremists.

You won’t win over the moderate voting sector–a chuck of us large enough to (probably) have your agenda see fruition were you to actually do so.

Sad sad sad. I think I’ll browse 3 more articles, in all fairness, and decide if I should even bother….
