Assemblyman Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco) has introduced legislation to reform statewide penalties regarding the possession and sale of certain ‘drug paraphernalia’ items.
As introduced, Assembly Bill 1811 would amend the state’s definition of ‘drug paraphernalia’ to exclude items associated with the use of medical marijuana. You can read the full text of the bill here.
The measure is presently before the Assembly Committee on Public Safety, which is scheduled to hear testimony on the bill on Tuesday, March 23.
