Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about our country’s marijuana laws. I appreciate knowing your views about issues affecting Northwest Florida and our nation.
In the 111th Congress, two bills have come before Congress concerning marijuana. The Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act stipulates that individual states that have voted to legalize marijuana for medical purposes be in no way restricted by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act or the Controlled Substances Act.
The second bill, the Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2009, prohibits the imposition of any penalty under an Act of Congress for the possession of marijuana for personal use or for the not-for-profit transfer between adults of marijuana for personal use.
I am unalterably opposed to the legalization of marijuana. While I respect the views of residents from states that have adopted legislation regarding the medical use of marijuana, I believe that legalization is irresponsible and I cannot in good conscience vote for any such measure.
Again, thank you for contacting me about this important issue. I feel sorry for people like this…. I live in the Netherlands and it is legal here. There is no discussion about medical use anymore. The problem is legalizing the marijuana producers. Which is illegal at this time. You can grow 5 plant legal in your garden (which should be enough for yourself). I grow white widow myself. The best strain for pain relief if you ask me. In the netherlands this strain is the best sold medical strain!! I order my seeds at http://www.getmarijuanaseeds.com/ the always have the best deals from the best reliable seedbanks. I am not a proffesional grower but outdoors in your garden it is very easy.
What a moron, I bet he’s a raging alcoholic… The time is NOW!! Bombard his office with letters that contain the truth. We need to stand together, they use intimadation and spew off “facts” that have long been disproved by the world medical community. Vote him out!!! Start a petition for compassionate medical use, (who wouldn’t sign for that?) force them to a vote. Time to stand together and change this, now is the perfect time. Our new president is for resricted adult access
Some Day these old farts will be gone and our Rights returned. Look at all the paychecks that get cut: The cops make their collars. The bail bondsmen get their rake off. The prosecutors make their cases. The social workers write up their interviews. The clerks push their papers. The lawyers collect their fees. The judges render their verdicts. The prison guards make their rounds. The vendors sell their baloney sandwiches. The construction firms build their additions. And the shrinks nod their heads.
If the constitution was printed on cannabis paper and signers such George Washington Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin were large grower of cannabis I find it hard to believe that our personal and medical, use is not protected by the Bill of Right and our Constitution.
I am 59years old and been laid off for 18 month now and just scrape by on my wife’s $8 hour job. I have been smoking off and on for over 40 year only when I can afford or offered. I now have several medical issues that I feel cannabis helps me. I have no medical insurance and they finally open up a clinic in my area with a siding scale. How ever if the Doctor writes me a prescription or refers me to specialists that I cant afford to fill or see, what good is it. This past summer I ordered five female cannabis seeds from http://www.ministryofcannabis.com/shop.html?aff_id=50 for about $35. In a little over 60 days I had enough personal medical cannabis to last several month depending whether I smoked which uses the least or vaporize or made butter. As an adult with two speeding ticket and ticket for a rolling stop since 1967and I have always filed a tax return. Why should I be a criminal for a god given plant the helps me and makes me feel better. If you change the category of cannabis prisoners to political prisoner China would pale in comparison. How ever what would China invest in we did not have the very profitable prison Bonds to sell them.
We rational voters who weigh actual evidence before making decisions, are unalterably opposed to prohibitionist politicians who put propaganda and irresponsible rhetoric ahead of the needs of thousands of suffering patients who would certainly benefit from access to medical marijuana.
We cannot in good conscience vote for you and those like you who spew such ignorant ideology. Your time is past. One by one, we informed 21st-century Americans will pick off you stone-age curmudgeons at the polls. And good riddance.
