On April 2, 2009, Representative Ron Paul introduced H.R. 1866, the Industrial Hemp Farming Act. This legislation was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Committee on the Judiciary.
H.R. 1866 would amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of “marihuana.” It would also add to the Controlled Substance Act the definition of “industrial hemp.” This would legalize, in certain circumstances, the production of industrial hemp. I will be sure to keep your support in mind when the House of Representatives Votes on H.R. 1866.
Thank you for contacting me about the Industrial Hemp Farming Act. Please continue to contact me with your concerns and suggestions in the future.
Very truly yours,
Jerry Moran

i hate how every last politician types with the “dance around the question” rhetoric.
why can’t they just say it? “yes i will vote for this” or “no, i will not vote for this.”
they have no trouble saying how “pot causes psychosis” but even the pro-pot people never directly say yes. bottom line: our “leaders” need to grow some balls.
And your position is? Doesn’t your ass hurt from sitting on that fence all day long? What a schmuck!
Politicians suck. Can’t we fire them all and start over with a different “democracy” where we all just vote for issues, and our votes actually count for something?
These guys get paid way too much to avoid answering legitimate questions from concerned constituents whose taxes pay their salaries.
